Each Wednesday—Bring Your Bills Up to Date
• Bring Your Personal and Family Business Up to Date
• File the papers you truly need to keep. Keep only papers you will need to refer to in the future. File them in a way that will make it easy for you to find them when you need them. The categories that work for me may not work for you. What do you think of when you think of your car insurance papers—automobile, car, insurance or something else entirely.
Area of Focus—Last day in the Living Room and Family Room. What can you do to make these rooms better until you return your focus to these areas next month? Tomorrow, The Kitchen—As I wrap up in one area I anticipate the improvement that I can make in the next area. Continually ask yourself what you can do to improve any area you are in. In any situation, you are either a part of the problem or a part of the solution—in your home, relationships, neighborhood, community. Your attitude, your words, your actions and your choices affect other people—for good or for bad. If you are a believer in Jesus Christ, there are clear instructions throughout Scripture that we are to do what we do “as onto the LORD.” People may take you for granted but Jesus sees, and He knows you heart and your thoughts. So whatever you do, do it for Him with a right heart and attitude, and don’t worry about others noticing and appreciating.
14“Now, therefore, fear the LORD and serve Him in sincerity and truth; and put away the gods which your fathers served beyond the River and in Egypt, and serve the LORD.15“If it is disagreeable in your sight to serve the LORD, choose for yourselves today whom you will serve: whether the gods which your fathers served which were beyond the River, or the gods of the Amorites in whose land you are living; but as for me and my house, we will serve the LORD.”
Joshua 24:14-15 NLT
Note: the gods above are not just the idols of ancient lands but whatever we idolize—we may even idolize our husband, our children, clothes designers, a lifestyle and on and on. Worship is worth-ship. Whatever we highly value, we worship. We are not to have any gods (idols) before the one true God. If we worship Him alone and love and value others out of that relationship with Him, all other priorities, all other values, will fall into place and we will love others well and rightly.
More later about our adventures cleaning up the playroom. I slept until 6:01 Utah time! I never sleep this late.
