Friday is Wrap Up Your Week Day

  • Put your home in order for the weekend
  • Clean out your purse, your backpack, your diaper bag, your computer bag or whatever goes out the door with you when you leave home.
  • Clean out your car

In between days when a task is your focus, keep up with your car, purse, or tasks in your home. Gradually, it will take less and less time most of the time to deal with these tasks. I remove receipts and coupons I have received during errand times from my purse when I arrive home and put them in the appropriate places. When I stop for gas, if there is trash in my car, I toss it. When I arrive home, I take a moment to put my trunk back in order after taking packages out of it. Yesterday, I got some poinsettias for my neighbors for Christmas. They fell over in my back seat raining soil over the seat and floor. Today, I need to deal with this before that soil gets ground into the seats and floor mats.

The Area of Focus for today through next Wednesday (15th through the 21st) is The Master Bedroom, EnSuite Bathroom and Closet

Our Special Focus this month is Christmas. Celebrating Christ, His Birth, His Life, His Death, His Resurrection, His Lordship over all.

Draw near to God and He will draw near to you. James 4:8

Saturday is Family Fun Day—Spend time working and/or playing with your family. Work does not need to be misery. Laugh together, pray together, work together, make memories to last a lifetime.

Sunday is Worship and Planning Day—Worship is recognizing the unsurpassable character, power, wisdom, glory and too much more to mention of our great God. Take time to worship—it’s not for you, it’s for God. BUT knowing and recognizing that there is One greater than us has great benefit in us and in our lives.

Sunday is also a great time to coordinate schedules with your family and get activities on your calendar. It’s nice to know a few days in advance that your child will need a white shirt and black pants on Tuesday for the concert, or that you need to bring 3 dozen cookies to an activity on Thursday. Knowing ahead of time helps you plan your time more effectively than always playing catch-up. Make it a regular Sunday evening family pizza and planning party.

Have a day full of smiles, hugs, and love,

Mary
